About

As a Stafford MSD School Board Trustee beginning in 2009, Rosas bridged many disagreements between Stafford MSD and The City to meet the expectations of the community. Her strong work ethic and morals are family-driven. As a School Board Trustee, she pursued a safety program for students and teachers, she addressed the teacher turnover rate by providing more comfortable classroom sizes to create distinct learning environments. In addition, teacher incentives such as the School District covering the tuition costs for teachers to continue their studies, and promoting within the District, together with pursuing safety programs for students and teachers.  Being ahead of the explosion in the use of technology, she activated and supported the IPad 1-to-1 Initiative as a tool for student learning.

She is responsible for contributing to the Walkable Community Sidewalk Program, securing funds for proper drainage systems, and providing shop local encouragement for retail companies seeking to revitalize the post-pandemic economic structure. “Stafford is a special place because its leaders truly believe in the principles the City was built on,” Rosas states. “I am dedicated to my community, first as a parent, a School Board Trustee, and today as a sitting City Council Member because I believe the real work starts at home and continues into the community. It’s rewarding and gratifying to see what our team of Mayor and City Council have been able to accomplish in the past seven years, and am looking forward to being an extension of its continual development.”
